Partner Council Hub
A 0→1 build delivering a data-rich analytics hub with a live in-room voting tool for Partner elections and annual reviews.

Context:
My client needed a platform for their partner elections and year end reviews. The hub needed to serve two main functions:
-
Housing year-round data on committees and partner profiles and outcomes.
-
Support for the partner council meeting, a two-day in-person event at which evaluators voted on partner elections and year-end review outcomes. This also required an in-room voting tool.
Defining the problem:
My role:
Lead UX Designer
The team:
1 Project Manager
1 Data Engineer
1 Data Architect
1 Front-End Developer
3 Back-End Developers
Both processes ran on spreadsheets, PDFs and paper ballots. Users constantly had to flip between platforms to find the information they needed. Preparing for committee meetings was extremely time consuming. The in-room committee process was filled with user frustrations and delays.
User Types:

Room Chair
Sets case order before the meeting. Leads the room and calls runoffs.

Evaluator
Prepares data and notes for their evaluees before the meeting. Presents case to the in-room council. Votes on all evacuee outcomes and elections presented in the room.

Admin
Creates committees and configures committee meeting details. Serves as an in-room admin during meeting to opens and closes ballots and record outcomes.

Research Method:
30 minute contextual interviews with users over Zoom to gain understanding of user needs and pain points
- Too much back and forth between platforms
- Current set up creates security issues
- No way to share meeting notes beforehand
- Need multiple laptops/tablets to perform room outcomes
- No voting timer
